environment by respecting the principles of
the SDGs throughout the entire leather industry supply chain.

A Certification in Global Demand
The global leather industry is increasingly expected to address
environmental considerations, social responsibility, animal
welfare, product quality and safety, and transparency.
The JLIA Sustainable Certification is
a global standard developed with reference to:

- EU Ecolabel
- over 15 Japanese and international laws and standards.

The Japan Leather and Leather Goods Industries Association (JLIA) is a
comprehensive non-profit organization that promotes the growth and cooperation
of the entire leather industry, supporting its overall development and collaboration

Complete them following the "Application Guide" and submit them along with the necessary attachments.
For Form 2: Overview of Business Sites,
please also attach the following:
- 1)Organization chart
- 2)Factory layout map (including site map) and manufacturing equipment layout
- 3)Copy of documents showing the source of raw materials
- 4)Manufacturing process flowchart
- 5)Copy of documents certifying proper wastewater treatment
- 6)Copy of documents certifying proper waste disposal
- 7)Copy of documents for quality inspection of leather/leather products
- 8)Raw material acceptance inspection records
- 9)Complaint handling records
- 10)Copy of document certifying that the main leather has tested for chemicals as specified in the Japan Eco Leather Gold certification.
